Verdict

A competitive affair featuring four previous winners. Linguine is eased in grade in a bid to rediscover his best form. Newsworthy was progressive in the spring but has changed stables over the summer and might need this. The maidens Ballycash and Chap are also returning from a lay-off but Precision Five is on a roll after victories at Bangor and Southwell and could give CANTON PRINCE plenty to think about. Tim Vaughan's gelding steps up in trip but wasn't stopping when pulling away from favourite Sir Toby on his hurdles bow at Fontwell and has plenty of scope.
