Verdict

The Bottom Bar was second to a useful sort at Towcester in December and went one better at Market Rasen last month. He’s capable of further progress but is up against another nice prospect here in STRADIVARIUS DAVIS. Paul Nicholls’ five-year-old has already won between the flags and his long-term future will be over fences but he bolted up when beating a better-fancied stablemate over the smaller obstacles at Wincanton earlier this month and holds Athreeothree on that run. Mance Rayder and Drovers Lane are others with scope but Orchard Thieves is best watched on his debut under Rules after a very long absence.
