Verdict
If MOUSEEN takes to the bigger fences after progressing nicely over hurdles, he could take this at a decent price, but also making the shortlist are Now Listen To Me and Plane Painter. Mouseen tries chasing for the first time, and indeed this trip, but he's got a tremendous attitude, and seems to enjoy going off from the front. The fast ground is a big plus for him, but even when he's raced in more testing conditions, there haven't been any question marks over his enthusiasm. Now Listen To Me is a former winning pointer, but something seemed to go wrong with him when making his chase debut last time out. Less exposed than many, a slightly shorter trip than he's run over before should help him. Plane Painter is making his chase debut; a little unlucky not to win on his penultimate outing, he was well beaten last time out, but does have ability. Swordsman has the highest rating of those with a mark, and returns to jumping for the first time since May, after a spell on the flat. He's got modest hurdling form, and his one previous chase saw him 6th of 8 nearly a year ago. It's a tricky one again to sort out, but marginal preference is for Mouseen.
