In depth

Verdict

An intriguing race as the best hurdlers in the field - Birchdale and Eglantine Du Seuil - have yet to convince over fences. The former was last of six when last seen over the larger obstacles and the latter was turned over at odds-on in a three-horse affair on chasing debut. It makes for a tricky punting puzzle as the other three are all interesting. The lightly-raced Proper Ticket definitely houses potential and Yeavering Belle has always looked a chaser, but a chance is taken with NEVILLE'S CROSS who will hopefully have learnt from his fall in a competitive event on his debut over fences. He does look the sort to do well in this sphere..
