Despite racing keenly, Bathiva just failed to overhaul the odds-on Purple King at Stratford on his hurdles bow. Now with David Dennis, he’ll be hard to beat if settling better on this more galloping track but might be worth taking on with newcomer DEREK DUVAL. Suzi Best’s new charge won five times on the Flat up to 1m2f and can run well fresh. Cotswold Prince only weakened at the last at Market Rasen on his first run since April and will strip fitter today. He looks a better bet than Kabrit and Throckley.
