In depth

Verdict

The Jonathan Portman and George Wood partnership had strong claims in the previous division of this and team-up again with a similar type in CHORAL MUSIC. She made a winning handicap debut at Lingfield and can effectively race off a lower mark with her rider's allowance taken into account. Olive Mabel has a chance on her recent third at Chelmsford and Spring Praise is a likely improver with last month’s comeback run at Kempton under his belt. But the remainder have yet to threaten with Grasmere and Ahfad perhaps best of them.
