        Verdict

        Some real old rogues come into opposition here and Lazzaz is only a tentative selection to get the better of the frustrating Ipledgeallegiance, Mi Odds and Maggie's Pet. The selection is a game and consistent performer at this sort of level and is holding her form well at the moment. She goes well for today's rider and can gain compensation for some near misses if her front-running antics can draw the sting out of her rivals. Final Dividend also goes very well for his jockey and will not be too far away at the finish if he puts in anything like his best. But he has thrown in the odd stinker and is not one to take too short a price about. The same sentiments apply to Ipledgeallegiance, who is an extraordinarily hard horse to predict. But he too has solid claims of running into a place at least; despite his burden at the weights. Maggie's Pet appeals as another who could make this a test of stamina, but lacks the resolution of Lazzaz, who is just preferred today.
