Verdict
Alambic can land his five timer at the expense of Shore Thing and Boxhall. The selection has been a revelation this season winning all over the country. He has been well placed by Sir Mark Prescott having won twice with a six pound penalty and then scoring at Hamilton off the same mark as today. This means the horse is still a step ahead of the handicapper therefore this progressive horse can win yet again. Shore Thing won here over a slightly shorter trip back in June and has not been disgraced since. He still looks like he is able to win off his current mark and with conditions to suit will run well but he is sure to find Alambic too good this time around. Boxhall caught the eye at Sandown last time out when second to Alessano and will be winning races soon but again will have to fight it out for place money only as Alambic bids for his six consecutive handicap win.
