In depth

Verdict

TURNING GOLD (NAP) has been steadily improving and took advantage of soft ground to claim a comfortable victory here last week. His 6lb penalty is more than offset by his rider's claim and a quick double looks on the cards. World Record is only 1lb higher than his victory at Brighton but had every chance when a beaten favourite there last time while Jack Nevison is still a maiden and was beaten in a seller last month. King Oswald looks the main threat as he gained an easy victory over the course and distance in May and has been racing in much better company subsequently.
