MOI AUSSIE completed a course and distance double in May and though beaten twice subsequently both races have been in higher class so this looks a good opportunity to regain the winning thread. Alpha Tauri has won eleven times on the all-weather including at Southwell in May where he's a specialist but his record on Turf is 0-29. Gulland Rock has a much better record on Polytrack but Commanche wins his share on all kinds of surfaces and is on a fair mark on Turf. The three-year-old Daring Guest has more scope than any of these and is taking a drop in grade so has to be on the shortlist.
