In depth

Verdict

It has to be a worry that Shesastar has barely raised a gallop in three runs this year but she's 6lb lower than when scoring at Doncaster last summer and usually takes on stronger opposition. Ray of Joy has spent most of her career racing over sprint distances and has also been out of form but POISSON D'OR was favourite when a close third at Newmarket last month and can race off the same mark here - she should recoup losses.

Formwatch

Shesastar 17-2 (8-11) Mid-division, outpaced 2f out, weakened final furlong, last of 14, 40l behind Mezzotint (9-3) at Doncaster 7f hcp 0-95 (3) gf in May.

Ray of Joy 12-1 (9-6) Towards rear, ridden halfway, never a factor, 8th of 13, 9l behind Mon Brav (9-2) at Goodwood 6f hcp 0-80 (4) gs in May.

Poisson d'Or 6-1fav (9-3) Close up, ridden 2f out, every chance inside final furlong, not quicken near finish, 3rd of 18, 1 1/2l behind Red Seventy (9-3) at Newmarket 7f hcp 0-80 (4) gf in May.
