In depth

Verdict

CHIEFOFCHIEFS hung badly and refused to race at Windsor early last month but returned a week later to land a maiden in good style. That was only his fourth start and he looks capable of better so gets the nod. Suqoor has won twice on the all-weather but is yet to reach a place in nine starts on Turf but there was obviously something amiss with Selection at Newmarket after a very good third at Ascot. Anastazia landed a Class 6 handicap here early last month but couldn't make the step up in grade next time while Ross Raith Rover also scored at that lowly level here last month. King Oswald easily won a Class 5 handicap here before a decent effort at this level at Bath and he looks the best of the lightweights.
