Three-year-olds have much the best record in recent years though the older Talmada should still go well on today's terms having beaten Pleasant Valley when runner-up to subsequent Irish Oaks winner Covert Love at Newcastle in June. SPEEDY BOARDING (NAP) failed to last home in the Irish Oaks but James Fanshawe's filly had earlier won a Listed event at Newbury over today's trip and she gets the nod back at this level. Suffused has come up short in pattern company so far but finished ahead of Zamoura at York last time while the latter's stablemate Loving Things won a maiden on soft ground at Salisbury back in May and could be anything. Persona Grata has decent claims back in this grade after an outing in a Group 1 company at Deauville and is preferred to Angel Vision and Elbereth.
