In depth

Verdict

The handicapper is starting to relent with Set Alight and she must be on the short list here, however we will give the vote Kew The Music, with Iced Diamond also expected to go well. Mick Channon's gelding has been a model of consistency but as a consequence is getting no help from the handicapper. However this is possibly the weakest race he has contested for a while and he may be able to finally get his head in front where it matters. Set Alight ran a great race last time when a close up third behind Tyzack at Southwell. She ran well off a mark of 70 on the turf last summer and so has obvious claims at today's weights. Iced Diamond has gone well off higher marks during the winter and could be well treated onm his return to the turf. Meditation looks the best of the remainder, but if any of these deserve another victory it is Kew The Music and this one gets the verdict.
