      Verdict

CAPUCCI gets our vote here, selected ahead of Russian Epic and Nutkin. The selection may be better off if there's some cut in the ground, but has an opportunity to repay those who backed him at odds-on when he was turned over last time out. Lightly raced, John Gosden's colt could be far too good for some of these. He's got weight in hand from most, and with a high draw in a large field, everything seems to be going in his favour. Russian Epic has had a two month break since winning a lower class handicap at Leicester. Expect a front-running performance, to try and compensate for a low draw. James Fanshawe won this race last year, and sends Nutkin to post this time around. His best work has come on a slower surface. He's among the higher weights but has a high draw, and should be in contention. Our preference though is for Capucci.
