      Verdict

Mia's Boy can continue to progress at the expense of Northern Jem and Moody Tunes. The improvement of Mia's Boy since leaving Peter Chapple-Hyam has been a revelation and having bolted up at Doncaster, he looks to have been found another chance to strike while the iron is hot. Northern Jem was a likeable handicapper last term. He has tended to need his first run in the past so is opposed on this account. Moody Tunes has few problems with the prevailing conditions. He is perfectly capable despite finishing well beaten at The Curragh last time out. Montrachet was often well backed last term when ridden by Jamie Spencer. Luke Morris is in the plate tonight. Glencalvie and Lord Theo appear to need better ground in order to show their best. A surprisingly low turnout for a fair handicap by the track's standards and we are with Mia's Boy tonight.
