      Verdict

Officer can complete a hat-trick, with Habshan, Sonny Parkin, Sam's Secret and Resplendent Nova seen as the main dangers. Officer has hit form with a vengeance of late, gaining back-to-back victories at Windsor and Kempton, and although now upped in the weights, should make a bold bid to make all again. Habshan bounced back to form at Newbury last time, but has been off over three months, so will come on for the run, while Sonny Parkin is normally seen at Newmarket where he got back to winning ways under Frankie Dettori last time. He now has an inexperienced pilot on board, so is taken on. Sam's Secret remains in good heart, as does fellow five-year-old Resplendent Nova, and both can be considered for a place. However, Officer has done nothing wrong recently, and can once again make all.
