    Verdict

Sir Mark Prescott's three-year-olds are always worth a second look here but Awesome Pearl had every chance at Kempton last time and still finished almost eight lengths behind our selection in this, ARCH VILLAIN, who just failed to overhaul the enterprisingly-ridden Somemothersdohavem. He'd also had a rear view of Amanda Perrett's charge over 1m4f at the same track in June and there appears no reason why the placings should be reversed now. Tiger Cliff is improving and could be a danger if he stays but it seems to be asking a lot of Borodini to bounce back to form after a break and Petaluma is struggling to get her head in front. Adeste also appears modest and is tried in blinkers for the first time today.
