In depth
Verdict
Sahara has looked in the hands of the handicapper since obliging at Sandown last summer but is inching back to a workable mark and has conditions to suit. The yard enjoys an excellent strike rate at this track over the past five years and an improved effort is anticipated. Amazing Charm has failed to back up the promise of her first three starts last term and Jive Time rates the stronger of the Tate pair with Pat Cosgrave a good booking off bottomweight. Artful Prince appears to have lost his way the last twice but previously ran out a game winner at Carlisle and has developed the habit of popping up when least expected. But THECORNISHBARRON can be forgiven a failure around Epsom last time and back on a more conventional track today has decent claims on the rest of this season's form, notably when a close second at both Newbury and Newmarket over today's trip.
