In depth

Verdict

Ballymore Castle hasn't won since a dashing juvenile Chester success but is down to a career-low mark. However, he's up against it once more versus a trio of interesting three-year-olds who constitute a formidable challenge. Hope Cove, back to something like his best last time, is respected as the drop back to 6f should not be a concern but the unexposed TARBOOSH is the preference. Placed on both handicap starts since landing his Kempton maiden in May, he's just the sort William Haggas will continue to improve. Cosmic Chatter and Bahamian Heights are not discounted but Fang looks more dangerous. Sold since his latest success and moved to William Jarvis, the Lawman gelding finally confirmed considerable juvenile promise when landing a Brighton handicap off topweight and is a danger to all if repeating that level.
