      Verdict

      SMOKEY MALONE has yet to race over this far having won over 1m2f at Nottingham last month. He should figure again in a weak contest if lasting home. Hooves Like Jagger disappointed at Bath having finished runner-up at Windsor earlier while Barbara Ann finished just ahead of Fury with Camassia further behind when fifth over a shorter trip at Wolverhampton. Jack Bean was tailed off on his reappearance and is another upped in distance.
