In depth

Verdict

Several of these met at Brighton last week and Avit is expected to confirm her superiority over Silver Island, Izzet Muzzey and A Teen. However, slender preference is given to Indian Warrior, who goes well at this track and is expected to cope with the underfoot conditions better than the rest. Jonathon Jay's charge likes a little give underfoot and, as he comfortably finished in front of Avit the last time they met at this track, he has every chance of dishing out a repeat does again. Conversely, every drop of the predicted rainfall will go against Avit as she needs it like a road. It is also off-putting that she has never forced her head in front away from Brighton and she could prove to be vulnerable. Izzet Muzzey is better than he showed last time and appeals as an each-way contender. However, the likely odds about Indian Warrior are more tempting and he just gets the nod on this occasion.
