The meeting ends on a real headscratcher for punters and if ATYAAF reacts positively to the application of cheekpieces, Ivan Furtado’s gelding has the necessary form on the board to be picking up this pot. King Crimson has raced with plenty of exuberance since returning to action and this will be a rare awayday from his beloved Brighton. Pretty Shiftwell was just a neck away from glory in a handicap here last year and Stuart Williams’ filly has managed to drop just beneath the ceiling for this contest.
