In depth

Verdict

Salut Saint Cloud is well in on official BHB ratings but, along with other lightly-raced horses like Dr Fox and Scenic Flight, probably needs to improve to trouble Crewes Miss Isle, who gets the vote. The John Harris-trained filly has shown a fair level of form in four starts for Kevin Ryan and, although below those efforts on two starts for new connections, she still looks good enough to beat these. Not disgraced in nursery-company at Salisbury last time, the daughter of Makbul should appreciate the drop in class today. Recent Lingfield selling winner Lady Mo and Michael Bell's Queen Of Bulgaria, a scorer in a seller over course and distance last month are others to consider. Musselburgh scorer Emperor Cat is not certain to stay this trip having shown his best form over the minimum and a bigger danger to the selection may be Embassy Lord, who is closely matched with Queen Of Bulgaria on running here and has the assistance of Kieren Fallon but we are happy to side with Crewes Miss Isle.
