Verdict
Bernardo O'Reilly won on soft going at Newbury at the start of the season but was unplaced behind SHOBIZ on a return visit to that track in May. The winner was only beaten a head at the Berkshire course subsequently and could be the answer to this competitive handicap. Some Nightmare is back up in grade but Monsieur Kodi is having a good season and looks a threat to all from a high draw if the field gravitate towards the stands rail. Northern Spirit is penalised for winning at Nottingham last week but is due to go up 7lb next week with fellow three-year-old Crow's Nest also having a chance at the weights.
