        Verdict

        Crowdmania completed an all-weather hat-trick before stepping up markedly in class at Newmarket and finishing well behind. This is more his grade and he can get competitive. New Street won a Redcar maiden on fast ground and didn't appear to be suited by soft going at Newcastle. He begins the campaign on a lenient looking mark and should get into the action. Finn Class has won four times, all over 7f, but stays this trip and looks sure to give Jamie Spencer a good run. The superbly-bred EQUITABLE made a winning start at Lingfield last month, coming with a smooth run to score under hands and heels. Shyron has a penalty for last week's victory over 7f here and the fast ground should help him last out the extra furlong. Grandest was a bit disappointing on his reappearance but has only run three times and could put that behind him.
