    Verdict

Ascari, a good mount for an apprentice, looks sure to go well after his staying on third at Nottingham over a similar trip. Off the same mark here, he will take all the beating. Rainbow River, a winner on the fibresand, seems to reserve his best for that surface, while Ali Can, the winner of a seller on the All-Weather, has already been well held of this mark.
