      Verdict

      A chance is taken with Rossini Byline ahead of Guest Connections and Mafaheem. The selection has more to prove than a number in this field but John Spearing's string appear to be finding some form and he has a good strike rate at this level and not a bad one at the track with a healthy level stakes profit. She has been fairly well held in three runs in maidens but John Egan is a positive booking and this drop in grade may prove key. Guest Connections is probably the one to beat as he only narrowly missed out in a strong claimer at Windsor last time where he had Doubtful Sound and Majestical behind. He should be able to confirm the form. Mafaheem has been in good form on the all-weather of late and is equally effective on turf and his chance must be respected but we'll take a bit of a flyer and select Rossini Byline.
