Verdict

Wyclif sets the standard, though he failed to defy a penalty when beaten in novice auction company last time at Leicester. That was a slightly disappointing effort in view of his winning debut at Doncaster and he has some well-bred newcomers to deal with here. Kevin Ryan is renowned for introducing his better juveniles here and Vega Magic must be checked in the market along Simon Crisford's Revestar. Let Her Loose is also worth a second look but we'll take a chance on CONVICT to improve on an ordinary debut at Newbury in the belief that the Australia colt will come on plenty for a yard who do well here.
