Richard Fahey has won this three times in the last 10 years and has a trio of entries. Paul Hanagan would have had the pick and Kay Gee Be, who ran very well behind Confront here last month before disappointing at Ascot four days later, is probably the best of them. Lost In The Moment is still well enough treated to be a threat, he has produced two excellent runs in very tough handicaps at Chester and Ascot. It's difficult to believe that a horse who has been raised 10lb for his most recent win is a handicap snip but PEKAN STAR looked every inch a future star when scoring over the C&D in May and his high-flying trainer missed Royal Ascot to save him for this. Those looking for an each-way bet could do worse than side with Moyenne Corniche as the ever-shrewd Brian Ellison has booked crack Irish apprentice Sam James for the ride. Green Destiny and Modun both flopped at Royal Ascot but are capable of bouncing back.
