In depth

Verdict

Gumball, a useful sort over hurdles and fences, has joined a yard that can do little wrong at present and has won on the Flat. Solo Saxophone hasn’t fired this year but has dropped to a potentially-lenient mark and is the only previous course winner in the line-up, though Autumn War was second over track and trip last time. Benadalid will handle conditions but tries a much longer trip and preference is for BURIRAM, who has only proved effective up to 1m6f so far but is unexposed over 2m and further. Eagle Court, just touched off at Haydock last month, might be the pick of the remainder with Midrarr turning in a shocker back on Turf at Newmarket in April.
