GISBURN, so impressive at Newbury in the spring, has been given plenty of time off since an inexplicably poor run in the Coventry at Ascot. He is held in high regard and is worth another chance, though Richard Hannon also runs the promising maiden Witch Hunter. Cashew and Canonized are tough fillies with the latter running well twice in consecutive days at Ayr’s Western meeting – she holds Hellomydarlin on the form book. Ever Given boasts excellent form in handicaps and valuable sales races but his first venture into pattern company comes at the end of a busy campaign and Edward Cornelius has only run over 5f so far while Alotaibi has had two runs over 7f.
