In depth

Verdict

Dual Novice winner AJYAALL has had a short break since returning to action over 7f here in May. He’ll appreciate the return to a mile and the faster ground and a bold bid is expected from the Haggas colt in an open affair. Hamilton winner Jump The Gun and Chichester, who landed the Carlisle Bell last month, are both upped in class but Young Fire went close over 7f in this grade at Haydock a week ago. There was little between runner-up Crownthorpe and Eagleway at Newcastle last time while Poet's Dawn makes more appeal than the likes of La Trinidad and Amaysmont off his current mark.
