      Verdict

      There is little between the leading contenders on these terms and there’s not much separating recent Newmarket runner-up Steady Pace and third-placed Intisaab on form. Ornate finished behind the latter pair at HQ while Downforce is penalised for a Listed success at Cork in April and hasn’t raced since May. Spiritual Lady has been off the track since ending last year with a victory at Newmarket but Lancelot Du Lac arrives fresh from winning last month’s Stewards’ Cup at Goodwood and has decent claims. DON’T TOUCH hasn’t won anywhere since last summer but has been competing in tougher sprints than this. Richard Fahey’s sprinter may well return to winning ways in this company and gets the nod.
