Verdict

Both Kevin Ryan and the Hannon yard have won this twice in recent years and saddle newcomers. The former is represented by Hemingway, a half-brother to four winners, while the latter's Logi is also related to plenty of winners including two-year-olds. Mark Johnston saddles a couple of well-related fillies in Comedy School and Mistime but Karl Burke's MEDICI BANCHIERE is very speedily-bred and is handed a speculative vote of confidence. The trio with experience have all done well and Kananee started favourite on Polytrack at Lingfield and overcame greenness to win well, though he has a 6lb penalty to consider. In First Place led for a long way at Doncaster and will have come on a bundle for the run while The Nazca Lines was very green throughout at Musselburgh but still showed potential.
