An interesting maiden can go to Musaayer ahead of Rule Of Law, Tanoor and newcomers Aqualung and Sound Of Fleet. Musaayer lost no cast in defeat when beaten on his debut by a Mark Johnston inmate, Leicester Square, given the Middleham trainer's record with his juveniles this term, and Ed Dunlop's colt, bred to stay, can go one better. The colt, by Erhaab out of a generous mare, can make his mark next season over middle distances, but in the meantime should have improved enough to outgun Rule Of Law. David Loder's charge would not get more than a mile next year, and although shaping well enough at Sandown, did not strike us as one of the stable's leading lights. Paul Cole's juveniles have started to come to themselves so Sound Of Fleet who held an alternative engagement at Ascot on Saturday, should not be discounted, while Aqualung, from a stable that always does well here, is another that will be winning in future. Tanoor was a beaten favourite at Newmarket when running much too freely. He was well touted beforehand and should not be forgotten, but on this occasion he may again be found wanting as Musaayer looks the one to be on.
