Verdict

Elegant Shadow is the one to beat, with Furaat the danger. Second in her last two races, the selection's second to Golden Heart in a Salisbury maiden, stands out on British form and she holds a very good chance. Furaat's two career runs have been in Nad Al Sheba on the all-weather and, being by Danehill out of a Mr Prospector mare, is beautifully bred. His dam, who cost $600,000 as a yearling, gained her sole career win in an Epsom maiden. He's a little hard to assess but must surely be competitive here. The beautifully-bred Anqood showed a modicum of promise on her debut and is entitled to improve on that, Elegant Fashion gets the vote.
