    Verdict

A disappointing turnout for this race but The Glen can gain his third career win. He finished second in a course and distance claimer last time out, a repeat of which gives him claims. He might well be able to control things from the front under a good three-pound claimer. Vicious Warrior has been racing in Nad Al Sheba but won from a mark of 82 (now 85) at Doncaster over ten furlongs last season and should go well. Course and distance winner Petrula caused a 50/1 surprise here back in May and, despite being five pounds higher now, cannot be ruled out of the equation. Medallist's sole win came in a maiden contest and more will be required. Overall, then, The Glen just gets the vote.
