      In depth

      Formwatch

Noble Pasao (IRE) Ran poorly last time out at Ayr having previously been progressing nicely over a variety of trip; has run well for apprentice.

Spring Pursuit Yet to recapture his early season form despite slipping down the handicap although has been running on ground firmer than ideal.

Middlethorpe Seems inconsistent but has definite ability; trainer always wants to win here but with two in the race it is hard to tell which one they fancy more.

Dr Cool Best effort came in defeat last time out at Ascot; seems better on a firmer surface and participation could be in doubt.

Annadawi Popular old handicapper who has shown slightly improved form of late; not the easiest to win with and others preferred.

Waverley Road Consistent on a soft surface of late but step up in trip here is slight concern; likely to struggle.

Mindanao Has been off colour of late but has excellent chance on best of old form; would be more of a betting proposition if trainer in better form.

So Precious (IRE) Stays this trip well and is thrown in on old form; improved effort last time and an outsider to consider if ground becomes faster.

Danakil Seemed to improve for step up in trip last time out and may have found his optimum distance at last; due a win and has good chance here.

Sophala Handles soft ground but not guaranteed to stay this trip and others preferred.

Dee Pee Tee Cee (IRE) Recent efforts would not give this horse a chance but trainer is unpredictable and any amount of improvement could be seen.

Downpour (USA) Steady improver who is not without a chance on best of form; looks type who could be on decent mark and is one to consider.

Eton (GER) Disappointing last time out after running well here on firm ground last month; open to improvement and market may give best guide.

Tycoon's Last In and out performer whose best should land a place; goes on any ground; distance should suit.

Bold Amusement Has improved over the last couple of months and although yet to prove he goes on the ground should run his race.

Argamia (GER) Step back in trip a slight concern and overall level of form is below what is expected to win this type of event.

Suave Performer Showed better form than of late at Beverley late last month but not guaranteed to stay this trip.

Crystal Creek (IRE) Form seems to be tailing off at the wrong time of year and although ground and trip will suit may still struggle.

Pacific Alliance (IRE) Sound effort at Pontefract on Monday for which he avoids a penalty; goes well for jockey and has excellent chance.

Robzelda Generally consistent and probably has his best chance of victory for a long while; track and trip will suit and looks the likely winner if decent apprentice booked.

Moorlands Again Trying this trip for the first time and although has a fair level of form could struggle to get competitive here.

Bachelors Pad Did not seem to appreciate Wolverhampton's new surface last time out but had previously been running well in defeat; could be the same story again.
