      Verdict

      Faraway Lady has been a model of consistency this summer and can return to winning ways at the expense of Flotta and Rahwaan. Luca Cumani's filly has won four of her last seven starts, and been second on the other three occasions, rising from a mark of 48 to 74 in the process. She always just does enough and seems to relish a battle, so this long finishing straight will suit her down to the ground. She might be no Persian Punch, but she can slug it out when she wants and although probably being collared by the handicapper of late, is good for one more win before going off the boil. She gets plenty of weight off Flotta who finally lost his maiden tag at Musselburgh in what was a weak contest and should have his measure here. Typhoon Tilly likes this trip and will be more at home here after being swallowed up at Ascot. He is set to give the selection most to do. Rahwaan has it to do off topweight, while Triumph Hurdle winner Spectroscope will be more at home over hurdles in the coming months. With Positive Profile needing even further, hence his Cesarewitch entry, and Gaelic Roulette needing a downpour, the scene looks set for Faraway Lady to recoup recent losses for her legion of supporters.
