      Verdict

SOVIET ROCK (NAP) was rested after a poor effort at Epsom in June and returned to action with a second at Salisbury. He should be spot on now and can reverse earlier running on better terms with Sennockian Star. The latter finished behind fourth-placed Educate in the John Smith's Cup here in July and the top weight ran well in the Cambridgeshire a fortnight ago when Balty Boys and Indian Chief were both well beaten. First Flight and Sudden Wonder represent Godolphin and both handle soft ground, as does Fattsota, with the latter preferred off his current mark.
