          Verdict

          A tricky start to today's card with Bishops Court heading the handicap and sure to run well, but further down the weights Artie catches the eye and can take this from Cape Royal and Corridor Creeper. Tim Easterby's gelding makes a quick reappearance following a smooth victory at Beverley last week. He looked the winner from a long way out that day and could be one step ahead of the handicapper. Linda Ramsden trains both Bishops Court and Cape Royal. The former landed a class B handicap on his seasonal bow before running a brave second to Bahamian Pirate last week, while Cape Royal has claims on his Epsom victory last month. An outsider with excellent claims is Corridor Creeper, Milton Bradley's gelding was a close up fifth in a valuable handicap at Chester last week and will improve leaps and bounds. So a very competitive event where Artie holds the strongest claims.
