    Verdict

Sir Michael Stoute's Imposing was narrowly beaten by Perpetually at Newmarket in April on his only start last term and has claims on his reappearance but a 7lb rise since that outing at headquarters makes this no easy task on his return and it is hard to get away from recent Newbury winner FORTE DEI MARMI, who gets the vote ahead of Spectait. Jonjo O'Neill's gelding has not run since July but the yard have their runners in decent form over jumps so lack of a recent run need not be of concern and he has to be respected racing off just a 1lb higher mark than when finishing second of 19 to Laa Rayb at Goodwood on his latest outing. James Given's Indian Days should come on for his reappearance run at Epsom last month but needs to, while Richard Fahey's Red Jade is better than he showed when disappointing at Doncaster last time having won well there previously this term and cannot be discounted representing such an in-form stable. Mark Johnston's Tartan Gunna is becoming expensive to follow and a better bet looks to be Luca Cumani's Forte Dei Marmi, who won with plenty in hand on his return to action at Newbury last month and he can defy the hefty 12lb rise for that success.
