In depth

Verdict

ROYAL MEZYAN stands out in this. A runner-up over track and trip before finishing a respectable sixth in the Norfolk Stakes at Ascot, a repeat of either of those efforts would make him hard to beat. Deeds Not Words took a big step forward with a second at Windsor last time though he'll need to improve again to get the better of the once-raced Birkacre, third at Catterick on her debut. Bounty Girl should also go well and Gimcrack entry Noble Asset cost £155,000 as two-year-old so is worth a second glance in the betting.
