In depth

Verdict

Plenty of recent winners on show and MAVEN makes most appeal of them. The course and distance winner arrives on the back of victory at Ayr and can effectively race off a lower mark today with Daryl Byrne's claim taken into account. The latter also has the beating of recent Windsor winner Lucky Henry on collateral form. Both of Chancery's wins have come over further including his latest at Haydock while Christmas Light beat Barren Brook over 1m1f here last month but has plenty to find with the selection on latest running. Oetzi and Size try their luck in better company having won lower grade handicaps at Newcastle and Redcar respectively on their latest starts.
