Verdict
Perfect News finished ahead of Rishes Baar when third in a Group 3 at Newmarket in October and again when fourth in the Nell Gwyn behind subsequent 1000 Guineas heroine Cachet. She probably boasts the best form having beaten Eidikos and Honey Sweet in a nursery on the Rowley Mile earlier. A line through Cachet suggests GIRL ON FILM doesn’t have lot to find with the Haggas filly, however, and she is less exposed. Ralph Beckett’s daughter of Dabirsim was very green when only fifth in the Rockfel in the autumn and is the type to make a better three-year-old. Grande Dame beat several previous winners on debut at Ascot and has bags of scope and an entry in the Coronation Stakes so is much respected while Arion seemed to find 1m2f too far last month.
