In depth

Verdict

Super Stars was very disappointing when only beating one home at Newmarket while Pons Aelius has been doing his winning at Wolverhampton. Their stable companion Achnamara was well beaten at Leicester and Lady Labelle is having a first run on Turf. WILD CRUSADE (NAP) is also tackling this surface for the first time but he was impressive on his handicap debut on Polytrack so is preferred to unbeaten stablemate New Comedy, even though William Buick has chosen the latter. Al Qareem and Speycaster look closely matched on Nottingham running.
