Verdict

Meydan Princess is selected ahead of Seasider and Hawaana. This looks hugely competitive but Jeremy Noseda's filly may be improving quickly enough to gain a second success of the season. She showed an impressive turn of foot when getting the better of Wigram's Turn at Kempton before finishing second at Newmarket where she had Swift Gift and Dubai Dynamo behind. There should be more to come from Wigram's Turn and the other pair but the selection did well to finish where she did at Newmarket given that she missed the break and met trouble in running; she can confirm the places. A bigger threat may be Seasider who has always been held in high regard by his connections but has presumably had his problems. Connections produced a similar sort to win a Listed race at Ascot on Saturday and it would be no surprise to see this colt run a big race. Hawaana was well backed for a Sandown handicap on reappearance only to fluff his lines. He has something to prove on the back of that but Richard Hills keeps the faith and he shouldn't be dismissed. The selection though, is Meydan Princess.
