          Verdict

          A typically competitive renewal of this three-year-old handicap in which several have claims including Hey Presto, River Falcon, Mr Malarkey and The Kiddykid but preference is for Dazzling Bay, who has more going for him than most of his rivals. The selection is in good heart having been a good winner in handicap-company over this trip at Newmarket last month for which a 7lb rise is perfectly fair, the table of Tim Easterby could not be in better form, ground conditions are ideal, the son of Mind Games appears well drawn and, being likely to be up with the pace, should be suited by the track. Like the selection, River Falcon, Mr Malarkey and The Kiddykid all won last time out but have more to do in a tougher race today and a bigger threat may come from Hey Presto, who has similar credentials to Tim Easterby's horse in that he, and his stable, are in good form, he ran well at Newmarket last time, is well drawn and his running style is likely to be suited by this track. Wahsheeq and Flying Express both have to be respected on their seasonal debuts and a market move for either would be of interest. St Austell is open to plenty of improvement after just three starts and has a nice racing weight but has been done no favours by being draw in stall one.
