Verdict

Tony Dobbin's decision to desert Help Yourself in favour of Silva Pride may prove the major factor in a tricky opener. Silva Pride has always looked like a step up in trip may assist matters and while she is clearly no stable star, she does have plenty of exprerience of the Hexham track. Help Yourself is the other stable representative. She should have no problems with getting today's trip but as the daughter of Roselier, the drying ground must be a worry. Too Technical ran abysmally behind Minivet in a Catterick seller and looks best watched until the stable shows signs of form. One Four Seven has not hit the winners enclosure for almost six years. The top-weight does like the surface but at the age of ten, the years may be catching up with his already injury-prone joints. Tentsmuir put in a career best effort to chase home Little Brown Bear at Perth last week. That was his first encounter with fast ground and he has to be respected here. Kelly Pride hails from a yard who can win races such as this but he has had plenty of chances off this mark and doesn't strike as one of the more speedier of conveyances. Gipsy Wood has shown little on the racecourse for Brandsby maestro, Peter Beaumont.
